Blues move to ease striker crisis

Birmingham have signed Finland Under-21 striker Njazi Kuqi from FC Lahti.

Kuqi, who is the brother of Ipswich striker Shefki Kuqi, has spent 10 days on trial with the club at their Wast Hills training ground but will not officially become a Blues player until January 1, when the transfer window reopens.

The club have found goals hard to come by since Mikael Forssell was ruled out for the rest of the season with a cruciate ligament injury.
