Dowie plans to cut squad

Crystal Palace boss Iain Dowie is planning to raise transfer cash by making Shaun Derry the first of many players to be sold at Selhurst Park.

Derry’s loan move to Leeds United will become a £250,000 (€357,000) permanent deal later this week, and Dowie admitted others would be leaving before January.
