A makeshift Waterford United side welcomes Derry City to the RSC tonight for the final league game of the season (7.45pm).

The Blues need a point to guarantee fifth-place but player-manager Alan Reynolds is down to the bare bones with four players ruled out through suspension.

Reynolds himself is among them, alongside David Breen, Wayne Fitzgerald and Pat Purcell, although the latter and the manager would have missed out anyway due to injury.

Derry can pip Waterford to fifth place with a victory by at least two goals. For the Candystripes veteran defender Peter Hutton is suffering from flu and left-back Sean Hargan has been ruled out for six weeks with a foot injury.
