Watford stung by loss
Watford lost £4.5m (€6.4m) for the year ending June 30, according to figures released this morning.
The loss was made on a turnover of £8.5m (€12.1m) but represents an improvement for the Coca-Cola Championship club who had lost £10.3m (€14.7m) during the previous financial year.
Ticketing targets were achieved with two FA Cup fixtures against Chelsea helping to swell income to £2m (€2.85m), with season-ticket income improving by £100,000 (€142,922) on 2003 to £1.6m (€2.28m).
