Rangers came from a goal down to end a run of seven straight Old Firm defeats against Celtic in the CIS Scottish League Cup quarter-final at Ibrox tonight.

John Hartson gave Celtic the lead on 66 minutes with a powerful header from an Alan Thompson corner but Croatian striker Dado Prso equalised for Rangers with five minutes left in normal time.

Georgian Shota Arveladze beat keeper Marshall with a low drive from the edge of the area 10 minutes into extra-time to give Rangers victory.
