Celtic’s luck in the Champions League finally came in with the last throw of the dice as they resurrected their European dream with a 1-0 victory at Parkhead tonight.

Alan Thompson slammed home the only goal from Stilian Petrov’s 25th-minute free-kick before Anatoliy Tymoshchuk and Cosmin Barcauan were sent off for the visitors.
