Sainsbury in renewed bid at Leeds

Sebastian Sainsbury today insisted the consortium bidding to buy Leeds would prove they had the necessary funds to complete the deal.

Chairman Gerald Krasner announced that although talks over the £25m (€35.9m) deal were set to continue, no bid had yet met the conditions laid down by the board for a sale.
