Reid sees red after super strike
Notts Forest 1 Wolves 0
Irish international Andy Reid faced ecstasy and agony as Nottingham Forest saw off Wolves in the Nationwide League last night.
Reid, returning from international duty, scored the winner with a spectacular strike just before half-time to round off a splendid move.
But the midfielder was then sent off for a professional foul on Kevin Cooper which led to a penalty, which was saved by Forest goalkeeper Paul Gerrard’s.
King added on Sky Sports: “We were a bit disappointing to lose ‘Reidy’, but even he was back in the 18-yard box trying to clear the ball.
“It’s a bit slippery on the surface and unfortunately he’s brought the player down but ‘Gez’ pulled off a magnificent save.”
