Morrison waits on scan result

Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison will today undergo a scan to determine the extent of a knee injury sustained in last night’s goalless World Cup qualifying draw with France.

Morrison collapsed to the Stade de France turf in agony late in the first half of the Group Four tie, and although he received treatment on the sidelines, an attempted return to action was quickly aborted.
