Finnan replaces Reid in Midfield
Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr made one change to the side for the Group Four World Cup qualifier against France.
John O’Shea returned to the side after missing the 1-1 draw in Switzerland last month with a thigh injury, slotting in at left back for the game at the Stade de France.
It allowed Steve Finnan to move across to the right wing as Kerr opted for experience on that flank in preference to Andy Reid who played in both of the opening group matches.
France coach Raymond Domenech named his side on Thursday, with six changes made following the uninspiring 2-0 win over the Faroe Islands, with suspended skipper Patrick Vieira the notable absentee.
