Bohs: Shels trying to move Dalymount meeting

Bohemians are claiming that title rivals Shelbourne are attempting to get their Monday night meeting at Dalymount Park called off.

A report on the Bohemians website claims the league leaders are complaining that Bohs have an unfair advantage in the premier division run-in as Bohs only have to play four games in 12 days while they have to play five in 15 days.

Bohemians.ie says a three-man League committee will meet on Saturday morning to make a decision on whether the game goes ahead although Bohs want the game to go ahead and argue that Shels’ backlog of games “occurred as a result of other teams agreeing to postpone games while they pursued European games”.

Reigning champions Shels lead the league by eight points from Drogheda and are a further point in front of Bohs with eight games left to play in the campaign.

The Dublin sides are due to play each other twice next week, with Bohs scheduled to travel to Tolka Park on Friday night, October 15.
