Rooney in, Keane back for United

Manchester United wonder boy Wayne Rooney was handed his Red Devils Premiership debut at Old Trafford today as the hosts looked to extend their winning run at the expense of injury-hit Middlesbrough.

Alex Ferguson resisted the temptation to take Rooney out of the limelight following the 18-year-old’s stunning Champions League hat-trick on Tuesday, and the England man maintained his partnership with Ruud van Nistelrooy.
