Muzzy Izzet struck his first goal for Birmingham to rescue a point against Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.

The Turkey international latched on to a ball from Jesper Gronkjaer and powered a shot beyond Jussi Jaaskelainen three minutes after half-time.

Bolton had taken the lead through central defender Radhi Jaidi in the 16th minute. He controlled the ball on his chest before firing in a superb volley from an inswinging free-kick.

Bolton thought they had struck a winner 10 minutes into the second half but Henrik Pedersen’s effort was ruled out for offside.
