The new Rovers boss fielded his reserves for the Carling Cup defeat to Bournemouth on Wednesday but he is not expected to make changes from the side which beat Portsmouth last weekend.

Brett Emerton and Lorenzo Amoruso are expected to recover from slight knocks suffered in the cup defeat to compete for a first-team place. Craig Short misses out after suffering medial knee damage in the win against Pompey.
