FAI Cup holders Longford Town have finally thrashed out a suitable kick-off time for their semi-final clash with Drogheda United on October 3.

The game caused a clash with the Longford SFC final between Clonguish and Fr Manning Gaels.

After consulting with GAA officials in the county, the soccer club also met with RTE, who are screening the game live and it was agreed the Longford Town game would kick off at 4pm while the County Final would throw in at 2.15pm.

A club spokesperson said: "Longford Town FC would like to thank the Longford GAA County Board for all their co-operation in the matter.”
