Teams: Ferdinand raring for United start

Alex Ferguson pitched Rio Ferdinand straight back into the Manchester United starting line-up as the Red Devils looked to get their Barclays Premiership title campaign back on track against old rivals Liverpool.

Ferdinand was available again after his eight-month suspension and given United’s defensive frailties so far this season, his selection was virtually automatic.
