Leeds remain hopeful of soon concluding their long-running chase for West Brom skipper Sean Gregan.

Leeds remain hopeful of soon concluding their long-running chase for West Brom skipper Sean Gregan.

Manager Kevin Blackwell has been on the hunt for the 30-year-old midfielder since the start of last month, but has been thwarted as Albion have previously rejected two bids.

But a deal is now imminent, although not concluded as had been suggested, with chief operations officer Shaun Harvey confirming: “Talk of it being done and dusted is premature.

“But negotiations are ongoing. Sean is a player the manager has been chasing for some considerable amount of time and we do hope to add him to our squad.”
