Alex Ferguson has praised Rio Ferdinand for his dedication during his eight-month ban.

Ferdinand’s lengthy suspension will end next Monday when the £29.3m (€43m) former Leeds defender is expected to be part of the Manchester United squad that looks to get their Premiership campaign back on track against old rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.
