U21s make one change

Under-21 manager Don Givens made just one change to a side looking to extend their unbeaten record to 14 matches.

Givens recalled Wayne Henderson to the starting line-up ahead of Swansea’s Brian Murphy for the European Championship game at Stadium Neufeld, home of Young Boys Bern, after the Notts County goalkeeper shook off a hip injury.

Ireland started their campaign on Friday with a comfortable 3-0 home win against Cyprus and with hopes high of emulating their 2-0 victory on Swiss soil last October.

Among the notable inclusions in the Switzerland team were Arsenal and Tottenham’s new recruits in Philippe Senderos and Reto Ziegler respectively.
