Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is in a race against time to be fit for Saturday’s Barclays Premiership visit to Aston Villa.

The £24m (€35m) summer signing is back at Stamford Bridge for treatment on a troublesome ankle after playing for the Ivory Coast in a World Cup qualifier against Sudan.
