Neville urges support for Sven

Gary Neville has urged the Football Association to “stay as strong as the players” in their support of Sven-Goran Eriksson despite England’s shoddy performance in Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Austria.

Eriksson can expect to come under increasing pressure if England fail to win in Poland on Wednesday after carelessly letting a two-goal lead slip and being held to a 2-2 draw in Vienna.
