Kerr preaches patience

Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr has preached patience and caution ahead of his side’s opening World Cup qualifier against Cyprus tomorrow.

The Republic are hot favourites to start their campaign with an opening Group Four win over the Cypriots at Lansdowne Road, yet experience teaches Kerr such a tag can count for nothing.
