City set to sign Dutch keeper
Holland goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus is set to celebrate his 34th birthday today by joining Manchester City.
Waterreus, a member of his nation’s Euro 2004 squad, has been anxious to secure a move to England since leaving PSV Eindhoven in the summer.
City manager Kevin Keegan confirmed on the club’s website, mcfc.co.uk, that a deal was close to completion.
Waterreus is set to arrive in Manchester within the next 48 hours and likely to be offered a six-month contract.
