Debuts for Reds Cisse, Josemi v Man City

French forward Djibril Cisse and full-back Josemi are making their home debuts for Liverpool against Kevin Keegan’s Manchester City at Anfield.

But new signing Antonio Nunez missed out with a knee injury while fellow new boys Xabi Alonso and Luis Garcia were not signed in time to face City.

Shaun Wright-Phillips took his place in Keegan’s line-up after his sensational England debut in midweek against Ukraine.

Former Reds favourite Steve McManaman missed out with an ankle injury and striker Paulo Wanchope is also unavailable due to his late return from international duty with Costa Rica, so former Liverpool stars Robbie Fowler and Nicolas Anelka led the line.
