Drogheda's season continued on a most positive note as they duly saw off St Pat's to make the last eight of the FAI Cup.

John Lester punished Chris Adamson, caught way out of his area, to head home from an amazing 40 yards to give Drogs a bizarre lead on 53 minutes.

Declan O'Brien then pounced on another Adamson mistake on 67 minutes to head home after the keeper spilled Alan Reilly's corner.
