Cork City bid to close gap on Shels

Shelbourne will not be resting on the laurels of their European success at Turner’s Cross today when they take on eircom League title rivals Cork City in a live televised clash (5pm).

A customary bumper crowd at the Cross plus a TV3 audience will see the Leesiders bid to close the gap on Shels and current league leaders Drogheda United, who earned a point at Bohemians last night to take a one-point lead at the top of the table.
