Drogs likely to keep faith

Eircom League leaders Drogheda United begin life at the top of the premier division with a trip to Dalymount Park and a game against Bohemians tonight (7.45pm).

Paul Doolin’s in-form Drogs, who lead Shelbourne on goal difference having played two more games than the reigning champions, are likely to be unchanged from the starting line-up which faced Shamrock Rovers last week and won 3-0.

The only selection posers for Doolin are whether to reinstate a fit-again Alan Reilly into his midfield and give a start to former St Patrick’s Athletic striker Tony Bird.

Managerless Bohs are searching for a first home win in three games against a side unbeaten in the league away from United Park since April 2.

Caretaker manager Gary Howlett will definitely be without Damien Lynch due to an ankle ligament injury and fellow defender Ken Oman through suspension while forward Stephen Ward (knee) and midfielder Bobby Ryan (leg) face fitness tests before kick-offs.

New signing Dominic Foley is in line for his first start since signing on a free transfer from Portuguese outfit Braga.

The Irish international striker made his debut as a second-half substitute in last weekend’s scoreless draw with Derry City.
