Charlton have signed England midfielder Danny Murphy from Liverpool for £2.5m (€3.75m).

Charlton have signed England midfielder Danny Murphy from Liverpool for £2.5m (€3.75m).

The former Crewe man was set to join Tottenham when a fee was agreed but the deal collapsed when Spurs boss Jacques Santini could not guarantee a regular first-team place.
