Hamburg make bid for Gravesen

Hamburg have confirmed they have made a bid for Everton midfielder Thomas Gravesen.

The 28-year-old Danish international joined the Premiership side from Hamburg four years ago, but has recently been linked with a move back to the Bundesliga after voicing his frustration with a lack of new signings at Everton.

Now Hamburg’s director of sport, Dietmar Beiersdorfer has admitted they have been in touch with the player.

“We have spoken with both the player and the club and have made an offer,” Beiersdorfer told Sport1.

“We want to buy Gravesen because we are missing a holding player in our midfield, and that has the highest priority.”

Gravesen, who enjoyed a three-year spell with Hamburg, has also been linked with a move to Liverpool.
