Carr 'excited' as Magpies swoop

Stephen Carr is “very excited” at the prospect of joining Newcastle.

Carr is expected to sign a three-year deal within the next 48 hours after travelling to Tyneside last night to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms after Spurs agreed to sell the 27-year-old for £2m (€3m).
