Ex-Blues boss McGeough gets Larne job

Former Waterford United manager Jimmy McGeough has been confirmed as the new boss of Irish League side Larne FC.

McGeough, out of a managerial job since being axed by Waterford last December, had been linked with the vacancy at Derry City before the Brandywell club decided to hold off on an appointment until the end of the eircom League season.

The former Derry City player replaces sacked manager John Devine at Inver Park just five days before Larne open their 2004-2005 campaign with a CIS Cup game against Institute on Friday.
