McGeough set for Larne job

Former Waterford United manager Jimmy McGeough is being lined up by Irish League side Larne FC.

McGeough is reported to have held talks with the club which finished last season third from bottom of the table and sacked manager John Devine last week.

If those negotiations prove successful, the former Blues boss could take up the position at Inver Park this week.

McGeough, a former Derry City favourite as a player before finding success at Waterford, had been in the running to succeed Gavin Dykes as Derry City boss before the Brandywell board put their search for a manager on hold until the end of the eircom League season.
