Megson waits for Gregan bid

West Brom manager Gary Megson revealed today he has not received a bid for Sean Gregan.

West Brom manager Gary Megson revealed today he has not received a bid for Sean Gregan.

Earlier this week, Cardiff boss Lennie Lawrence claimed matters had moved on and hoped Gregan would arrive in time to play in Saturday’s curtain-raiser at Crewe.

However, Megson told the South Wales Echo: “Nobody is going to manufacture a transfer and if they [Cardiff] want Sean, they should put in a bid.”

It is understood Cardiff are prepared to offer £350,000 (€529,500) for the 30-year-old, but Albion want £500,000 (€756,400).

Leeds are also believed to be on the verge of tabling their own offer to bring the player back to his native Yorkshire.
