Aussie soccer boss denies Houllier approach

Australian Soccer Association chief executive John O'Neill has denied reports that former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier is being lined up to replace Frank Farina as coach of the Socceroos.

"I've never met Gerard Houllier, I've never even spoken to Gerard Houllier, so that is categorically incorrect,'' said O'Neill.

As well as coaching the senior team Farina is coaching the "Olyroos" as Australia compete in the Olympics in Athens.
