Ten-man Longford lose again

Sean Dillon was sent off as second bottom Town slumped to another defeat.

Goals from Shane Robinson and Mark Rutherford gave Rovers the points, but Town were incensed by referee Paul Tuite who failed to give them what looked a clear penalty after Steven Gough tripped Shane Barrett on 30 minutes.

Dillon was then sent off for a second booking for kicking the ball away on 56 minutes to turn the game on its head.

Robsinon met Pat Deans' cross with a diving header to put Rovers in front on 68 minutes.

Rutherford added the second following great work by Trevor Molloy two minutes later.
