Bohemians set manager deadline

Managerial hopefuls for the Bohemians vacancy have until 5pm Friday to submit their applications, the club has announced.

Bohs set the deadline after inviting postal applications for the job following their decision to axe Stephen Kenny last week.

Kenny’s assistant Gary Howlett has been appointed caretaker manager as an interim move.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool and Ireland great Ronnie Whelan has ruled himself out of the running for the job.
