Eriksson did not lie, claims England No 2

England assistant manager Tord Grip insists Sven-Goran Eriksson did not lie to the Football Association about his affair with a staff secretary – because no one asked him about it.

FA chairman Geoff Thompson will report to the FA board on August 5 on the circumstances which led to the organisation first denying and then confirming reports that the England manager had a sexual relationship with Faria Alam.
