Canaries land Helveg

Norwich have signed Danish international Thomas Helveg on a two-year contract.

The veteran wing-back, 33, featured in every game of his country’s Euro 2004 campaign and was available on a free transfer after leaving Italian giants Inter Milan.

Canaries boss Nigel Worthington said: “I am delighted to get Thomas Helveg on a contract at Norwich City. It shows the gradual progress of the club in being able to attract such a player to Carrow Road, to have that level of knowledge and experience at the club is a great boost to us all.”
