Bolton: No Rivaldo deal

Bolton insist there is no chance of them rekindling their interest in Brazilian forward Rivaldo.

The World Cup winner appeared to be on his way to the Reebok Stadium at the end of May but the deal went cold. Press reports today suggested the move could be back on, but boss Sam Allardyce claims there are no plans to revive Wanderers’ interest.

“I can categorically confirm that Rivaldo will not be joining us,” he told the club’s official website www.bwfc.co.uk.

It is understood that the player’s representatives were in Manchester last weekend to try to resurrect the transfer but that they returned to Brazil with nothing agreed.
