Cole wants his potential tapped

England midfielder Joe Cole is still bristling at Sven-Goran Eriksson’s refusal to play him during Euro 2004 – but believes Chelsea can benefit from his lack of exposure in Portugal.

Cole was reduced to little more than a spectator last month as Eriksson declined to give the 22-year-old an opportunity to prove himself.
