Vikings chief hails new signings
Dublin City chief executive Ronan Seery has hailed yesterday’s signings of Barry Ryan and Peter Hynes as a boost for the club’s eircom League premier division survival bid.
Goalkeeper Ryan signed for the Vikings just three weeks after completing a nine-month doping ban while Hynes joined from Aston Villa.
"I believe the signing of Barry Ryan and Peter Hynes represents good business on this club's part,” Seery said.
“Many people have written our chances off, but I believe you have yet to see the best of this club this season.
“We've learned a lot in a short period of time and we've shown that we can compete at this level. With a bit of luck we can string a few results together and do justice to the brand of football we've been playing all season."
As two players came in, manager John Gill also sanctioned the departure of midfielder Terry Gleeson to Leinster Senior League outfit Tolka Rovers.
