Drogs go dutch

Drogheda United have finalised the Bosman transfer of Dutchman Jermaine Marvin Sandvliet.

The 27-year-old left winger will join the eircom League premier division club from Dutch side FC Dordrecht when his contract expires on June 30.

Manager Paul Doolin is hopeful Sandvliet will receive his international clearance in time for the Drogs' next home match against St Patrick’s Athletic on July 9.

The Dutchman played more than 300 times for Dordrecht and impressed Doolin on a recent trial.
