Derry eased their relegation worries with this super show at the RSC - with Jimmy McGeough, expected to be announced as their new boss next week - an interested spectator.

Alan Murphy punished a dreadful mistake by Blues' keeper Dan Connor to volley Derry in front on 48 minutes.

A super move involving Murphy, Gareth McGlynn and Michael Holt made the second for Sean Hargan 13 minutes later.

Connor parried Hargan’s initial shot but he followed up to blast home.
