Sven-Goran Eriksson named an unchanged line-up to face Croatia tonight as England looked to secure a place in the Euro 2004 quarter-finals.

With Paul Scholes having proved his fitness following an ankle injury, Eriksson saw no need to make changes from the team which defeated Switzerland last Thursday.

While Nicky Butt was still out injured, Owen Hargreaves had recovered from a stomach upset to take his place on the substitutes’ bench at the Estadio da Luz.

Croatia: Butina, Simic, Robert Kovac, Simunic, Zivkovic, Rosso, Tudor, Nico Kovac, Rapaic, Prso, Sokota.

Subs: Babic, Bjelica, Didulica, Klasnic, Leko, Mornar, Neretljak, Olic, Srna, Tokic, Tomas, Vasilj.

England: James, Gary Neville, Terry, Campbell, Ashley Cole, Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, Owen, Rooney.

Subs: Bridge, Butt, Carragher, Joe Cole, Dyer, Hargreaves, Heskey, King, Phil Neville, Robinson, Vassell, Walker.

Referee: Pierluigi Collina (Italy)
