Olsen keeping line-up secret

Denmark coach Morten Olsen is determined to keep up the suspense over his starting line-up for their Euro 2004 clash against Italy on Monday in Guimaraes.

The Danes, who closed their double training sessions for the public and media on Saturday in the Algarve, will train for the first time on Sunday afternoon at the D. Afonso Henriques stadium in Guimaraes, only allowing the media and public a brief peak during the first 15 minutes.

Olsen will have all his 22 players available for training with the only absence being that of Chelsea winger Jesper Gronkjaer who will miss the game with Italy following the death of his mother earlier in the week.

His team-mates, who are hoping the experienced player will be back for their second game against Bulgaria, decided to cancel Friday afternoon’s training as a mark of respect.

Meanwhile, Denmark travelled to the northern town of Guimaraes today in high spirits after the recovery of defender Kasper Bogelund, midfielders Claus Jensen and Martin Jorgensen, striker Peter Lovenkrands and goalkeeper Stephan Andersen who struggled throughout the week with minor injury setbacks but are ready for Monday’s clash.
