Saez facing keeper choice

Spain coach Inaki Saez has one tough decision to make before their opening group A match with Russia in Faro.

He must chose between young Real Madrid ’keeper Iker Casillas or Valencia’s veteran Santiago Canizares with the 23-year-old the likely winner.

With Real Madrid’s Michel Salgado out with a hamstring injury just before the tournament, Barcelona’s Carles Puyol will switch to right back with Real Madrid’s Raul Bravo expected to be on the left of the back four.

There is a slight doubt over David Albelda in midfield as the Valencia star is troubled by a muscle strain. Xabi Alonso stands by.
