Cork City in UEFA lottery

Cork City will know their European fate by full-time at Tolka Park tonight, reports Noel Spillane of the Evening Echo.

City take on champs Shelbourne in the capital but will have one eye on the UEFA Fair Play draw in Germany tonight.

The Fair Play draw will be made at half-time in the UEFA U21 Championship final between Italy and Serbia & Montenegro in Bochum, Germany at 8.45pm German time so the draw will take place at around 9.30pm Irish time and the two lucky teams to be drawn out of the hat will be awarded places in the UEFA Cup.

A UEFA Cup place for the Leesiders would mean City would have to abandon arrangements for the Inter-toto Cup ties against Malmo.

City Supporters can check on UEFA.com for the result of the Fair Play draw tonight.
