Juventus have made the unexpected appointment of Fabio Capello as their new coach following the resignation of Marcello Lippi.

Capello, one of the most experienced and highly-rated tacticians in world football, had one year remaining on his contract at debt-ridden Roma but has decided to take up a new challenge.
