Keane earns praise after first game back

Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr saluted Roy Keane’s “fantastic contribution” after the Manchester United midfielder returned to international football in the 1-0 victory over Romania.

Kerr’s men battled to victory thanks to Matt Holland’s crisp 85th-minute volley at Lansdowne Road.
