Robson staying, insists Shepherd

Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd has moved to end speculation over the future of manager Bobby Robson.

Rumours that the 71-year-old could lose his job after the Magpies missed out on qualification for the Champions League have lost some momentum since they claimed fifth place and a UEFA Cup spot with a final day draw at Liverpool.
